Tips for Portal Navigation
- Bookmark frequently used paths — Copilot settings, DLP policies, and audit log search are accessed repeatedly during implementation
- Use direct URLs where provided — avoids navigating through multiple menu levels
- SharePoint Admin Center URLs are tenant-specific — replace
<tenant> with your organization's tenant name
- Microsoft is consolidating portals — the new Purview portal (
purview.microsoft.com) is gradually replacing the legacy compliance portal (compliance.microsoft.com); both work during transition
- Some paths require specific admin roles — if a path is inaccessible, verify your role assignment in Entra admin center
